The Barton Hills Speech Therapy Program supports students in kindergarten through fifth grade by providing comprehensive, school-based services designed to help children successfully access their education and fully participate in the school environment. The program’s primary goal is to strengthen students’ communication skills so they can learn, engage with peers, and express themselves with confidence across academic and social settings.

Speech therapy services at Barton Hills are highly individualized and grounded in evidence-based practice. Therapy may address a range of communication needs, including articulation, expressive and receptive language, social-pragmatic language, voice, fluency (stuttering), and multimodal communication such as augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Services are delivered in collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff to ensure skills carry over into the classroom and beyond.
