Barton Hills Elementary Parent Teachers Association
BHE is supported by an active PTA committed to providing significant support for our teachers and students. Our PTA would like every parent to be involved in our mission! A few of our initiatives are listed below:
- Academic Enrichment – The Cultural Arts Program, the PTA Reflections Program
- Parent Support Series – Currently focusing on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Nick Akery Scholarship – BHE PTA promotes educational opportunities and continued success for Barton Hills alumni by recognizing former BHE students for their academic commitment, extracurricular and community involvement, and strong personal character. This year, the PTA will provide one $1,000 scholarship and one $500 scholarship to two former students graduating this spring. If you know a deserving graduate, they can find more detailed information on these scholarships or submit an application here.
- Environment Programs – An organic vegetable garden, composting program, and opportunities to beautify our school.
- The BHE Annual Fund – Our yearly fund-raising campaign which goes a long way to support our school.
- Other Fundraising Opportunities – We like to have fun too!
