Barton Hills custodians are an invaluable part of our school community. They are responsible for keeping our school clean, safe, and orderly. In addition to their hard work, our custodians provide a sense of security for students and staff. The are always willing to lend a helping hand and can be seen throughout the school helping with various tasks. They are a vital part of our Barton Hills team and provide a valuable service that we do not take for granted.
Ernest Vasquez
Head Custodian
Mr. Vasquez, our head custodian, has been at Barton Hills for five years and with AISD over 28 years. He loves that Barton Hills is a small campus where everyone is very friendly. In his spare time, he enjoys Bar-B-Q'ing for his wife, two kids and his 8 grandkids. His favorite football team is the Dallas Cowboys.
Sylvia Cervantes
Custodian
Mrs. Cervantes has been a custodian at Barton Hills and with AISD for 13 years. Mrs. Cervantes enjoys her coworkers and the teachers. In her spare time, Mrs. Cervantes enjoys watching TikTok videos and going dancing. Mrs. Cervantes loves to laugh, and her wicked sense of humor often keeps us in stitches. Mrs. Cervantes also enjoys spending time with her four kids, 12 grandkids and 2 great grandchildren.
Cecilia Rangel
Custodian
Mrs. Rangel has been a custodian at Barton Hills and with AISD for six years. Mrs. Rangel's favorite part of Barton Hills is the community and her coworkers. For fun, Mrs. Rangel enjoys watching new shows on Netflix, shopping, going dancing and is an amazing cook for her large family and friends. Mrs. Rangel also enjoys spending time with her husband, three sons and big family.
